Precision Farming represents the most advanced integrated management system for agricultural production which, through technological and procedural lines inherent to the multiplicity of synergic aspects in agricultural production, allows the implementation of punctual and specific management of individual agricultural areas or production units, with evident economic, environmental and social benefits.

The 1st Level Master's Degree in Precision Farming (AdP) responds to the growing demand for qualified professionals in the various technical, technological, digital and management aspects for the implementation of Precision Farming. The 6th edition of the Master's degree is run by the University of Florence and is realised in collaboration with the Universities of Teramo, Viterbo, Salerno and Padua, with the National Research Council (CNR) and the Council for Research in Agriculture and Analysis of Agricultural Economics (CREA) with important pilot associations. This allows the use of expert lecturers of national and international renown, among the most active in the research on precision and digital agriculture in Italy.

The Master's course trains professionals who know how to guide companies in the transition towards digital and precision agriculture: agronomists, but also engineers, computer scientists, and experts in environmental and biological processes, ready to effectively apply what technology has to offer.

Programme of the VI Master's Degree Course in Precision Agriculture:

Lecture period: from February to July 2024
Internship period: until October 2024

Teaching is delivered remotely, with lecture recordings available even after the end of the lectures. Practical exercises and demonstration applications will be carried out at farms, technology companies and centres at the forefront of the application of precision agriculture. The training activities envisage a period of internship-training that may be carried out at private organisations and enterprises to be agreed upon with the Master's scientific committee, subject to the stipulation of a specific agreement.
